Question: Minutes from last meeting

Does a copy of the minutes from the last meeting of the last school year need to be brought to the first meeting of the new school year? We had our last meeting in May for 2012-2013 school year and our first meeting for the 2013-2014 school year is in July?

Technically, you should read the minutes from the previous meeting. It can be a good starting point to review business that was acted upon at the last meeting. As it is the first meeting of the year, you may want to start with new business, but have the last meeting's minutes with you, because you may get a request that they be read. Also, it's good to have them on hand to refer back to any unfinished business or agenda items, particularly those that involved votes.
