Question: Access to Volunteer Manager
I'm the Volunteer Coordinator at Astor Elementary in Portland, OR. I've been contacted by a former volunteer asking to be removed from my list in the VM database. However, when I search volunteers and open her entry I don't get "edit/delete" in the "Actions" column - all I can get is "view". I'm guessing that this is an access issue, and that I need administrative rights to delete the record. Do I need to be vetted by someone at the school, or someone on the PTSO Board to get that access? Can I do it through this site? And, if so, how?

Advice from PTO Today
Rose H writes:Hi again John,
Our leader support folks had this to say: You would need to go through the software coordinator in your parent group. They would need to make you Volunteer Administrator. Once you have the correct permissions you will then be able to go in and do a search on the person and click delete. You can also inactivate them instead of deleting them. To inactivate do a search>click on edit>move to the bottom and click on the calendar next to date to make volunteer inactive>Save.
If you have any additional questions, don't hesitate to give leader support a call (800-644-3561) or email Cheryl at cbalabanis@ptotoday.com.
