Question: Curiousity

Our PTO resently had our cookies with santa event, an hour before the event was scheduled to be over the santa line was empty. Santa stayed for 15 minutes with nobody in his line. We then let santa go home and started to clean up. A family then came up and wanted a picture with santa but santa was already gone what would you have done.

Was the family upset? The best you can do is sincerely apologize to the family, and be honest about it. Say you made the call to send Santa home because the line had been empty for a while. At the time, was there an extra little treat you could have provided the kids to help offset their disappointment? The best we can do is be sorry, be honest, learn from it and move forward.
