Never tried it, but it sounds like fun. You might get the kids more excited if you split the staff in two and have Mr. Smith's team vs. Mrs. Jones's team. Each one could be a mix of parents and staff. That way teachers could help create an atmosphere of excitement in the school. You could have a vote (say penny wars) on who is going to win. You could have each team choose a color and ask kids to wear the color of the team they support. The more excitement you create, the better attendance will be. When the game takes place, you can make your money on concessions, spiritwear, etc.
