Question: Donations to school district

Our school district is collecting toys for needy students in our district. We would like to donate money to this cause. Do you see any problem with this?

It is certainly worth discussing with your group. Such a worthy cause would likely get widespread support, but don't just assume that. You could have parents object if they believe the money isn't going to help your specific school/school community. So, put it out there to keep people informed and get feedback. Based on that, make your choice. If you go over a certain amount that is designated as discretionary in your bylaws, you may need to vote on it anyway.
