Question: Mother/Son Event

How do you include mothers that have daughters, but do not have sons. Would it be OK to include them in the mother/son event? How would you title the event?

There are lots of options and some of it depends on the school's traditions. Many schools do a mother/son event and a separate father/daughter event. Then, they may also do mother/daughter events and father/son events! Lots of schools now do events for the children to bring their "special adult'' to recognize the many different types of families. If you have an idea for a mother/daughter event, go ahead and pitch it to your parent group. This thread on our message board has some nice ideas for mother-daughter events. The thread is actually quite old, but some of the ideas really hold up. Good luck!
