hello writes:Is it necessary? While nice to have their input, most of your staff is already putting in lots of hours teaching your kids. If you think it'd be fun to have them help at a few special events or be guests, get a few teachers that are your sounding boards to talk about it at staff meetings and invite them to join in.

westsideptopresident writes:I would simply invite them to a meeting....this last year we really tired hard to get our teachers and staff involved by making them feel they were an important part of our PTO! OF course they are! We were lucky at our meetings that adleast half were teachers to throw in thier imput. It was great!I know I make it sound easy but I know its not. I have been on the PTO for now going on 6 years and last year was our best yet! Hope this helps!
