Question: How can a board not offer any financials to anyone??

The PTO I am a part of consists of 6 board members. No parents are allowed to attend meetings. Most parents know nothing of the school's PTO. I have asked the executive board many times for financials but never are they produced. Or the by-laws for that matter. Who is the executive board accountable to?? can our PTO bexecutive board be investigated...how can they call themselves a PTO when no parents are allowed to attend meetings???

More information, please: What does your PTO do? How did these people get elected? You say you are 'part of' so are you a board member? How long have these particular board members been in place? how long has your PTO existed? Is it a registered 501(3)c? Do they have fundraisers of any kind?
