Question: how to ask a officer to resign

we have a treasure that no one likes and is making people not want to come if she is present, she has been late for several events/meetings and is not providing accurate budgets with excuses.

Why not have a meeting with her explaining some of the issues the Board is having with her that are strictly related to her performance as Treasurer? If she doesn't agree with the comments made, ask her to resign. School counselors are VERY helpful in broaching these subjects. Check by laws or Robert Rules of Order.
