Question: Teacher Appreciation grants

Hi, my name is Jean Caughey and I am the president of our PTO at a small elementary school in Ringwood, New Jersey, housing Kindergarten - 3rd grade. Our PTO would like to do a faculty room/lounge makeover for our teachers. I would like some advice on who/where I can apply to for funding, supplies or grant money for this project.

Hi Jean -- That's a nice idea. Lowe's Toolbox for Education is a great place to start. They give $5 million in grants to PTOs and schools each year. Also, the article Finding and Winning Grants offers some good advice. There are several websites that list grants, such as www.grantsalert.com, www.grantstation.com, and www.schoolgrants.org.
