Question: GUEST SPEAKERS AT MEETINGS

Has anyone ever had "guest speakers" come to your meetings to talk about fundraising or assemblies or any interesting subject to bring in members?

I let a guest speaker come to the 1st PTO meeting of the school year to talk about her fundraiser, then she was elected an officer now all we hear about is her fundraiser.. big mistake!

I had a speaker come in and talk of their fundraiser. It was awesome and everyone loved the idea. (When I was president). However, we were in the middle of changes in regards to principles (we were unaware) and was not able to take the advantage of a wonderful product.
