Awesome! Thanks SO much for posting them. The art work is incredible. Nothing better than true kid's artwork (as opposed to something a child starts and an adult finishes or polishes) IMHO.

Are these images of the blankets or of the artwork that you sent?

I have posted some pictures of our auction blankets under Auction Group Page. These are the fleece blankets from Walmart.

Hi

For the blankets you upload your pictures to Walmart's website. They have a 'photo' section and you choose your project and upload the pics.

For the artwork, my husband took pictures of it with our digital camera, we cropped them a little then downloaded them to our computer then to Walmart. You can pick the background of the blanket as well. The website then arranges the pictures for you BUT you can hit "rearrange pictures" as much as you want until you find an arrangement that you like. You can also add a saying to your blanket.

For the pictures blankets you just upload the pictures to Walmart site and away you go. I asked for pictures from parents and also went in a took some of my own that way I made sure that all of the kids were on the blanket. That was the hard part.

I will see if I can post some pics.

Another great thing is the cost--- $39 for a 50 x 60 blanket! :) Like I said they aren't the heaviest blankets but great for a kiddo or family to show off.

Hope this helps!

clnscheffer-

Thanks for sharing! This sounds like a neat idea.

I have never seen these blankets. So do you provide a computer scan of the artwork and they screen it on the blankets? Do you have any pictures? Would love to see what they look like. If you do please add them to our Auctions Group page photo gallery. You can upload them here: www.ptotoday.com/community/photos/newalbum?groupid=39

Hi All!

Just wanted to share that I am in charge of the auction projects for our school auction. I decided to go with the Fleece Blankets from Walmart. Let me tell you that they are soooo cute! We did a different theme for each grade level.

KDG artwork- drew Kandinsky's circles
1st grade artwork- drew Corduroy bear and we added a plush animal and a book
2nd grade artwork- drew monsters from Where the Wild Things Are and we added the book
3rd grade- Friendship- took pics of the kids for the blanket
4th- artwork toucans and flamingos in bright colors
5th grade- a year in review- took pics of the kids
6th grade- the best of times- took pics of the kids

Our art teacher is awesome! The kids were going to do these things anyway so she told us to just use them! :)

We also did 2 football blanket b/c this is the first year we have a high school football team (it is a small private school). They turned out awesome!

I will say that the blankets are sort of thin but the pictures quality is really good.

It was a pretty quick and easy project. :)
