I haven't heard back from Amtrak but not expecting much. We have been denied by all airlines. And same experience with past companies and bidding for good or the other large online databases being used by many national companies. A few exceptions but not many. That is kind of a bummer.

A couple that I did have (surprisingly) good luck with are Boden (clothing) $50 gift card and Tinyprints (4/$50 gift cards) both done via letters sent to customer service email address on website.

I submitted to Amtrak and got a NO response three weeks later. Also NOs from all the airlines, so major transportation seems to be out

Also, a lot of the companies that have donated in the past now have us going through Bidding for Good, and I find that's almost an automatic NO.

Has anyone heard from Amtrak? Our print deadline is coming up and my request is still showing as open. I submitted 1/11 and it states the review time is 4 weeks.

Since your event isn't until April, you may not see 'results' until March.

I am starting to get nervous about getting things in before our auction. I've sent out hundreds of letters both locally, statewide and nationally and filled out tons of online requests. I've solicited and called local places and tried to follow up. I'm hoping we will start seeing items coming in within the next few weeks. Our auction is April 6.

I know I've read on here that some places will just send items without prior notice. Although I did receive our Disney Hoppers today and was surprised they sent them so quickly!

This is my first time coordinating an auction and I'm just so nervous!
