Is this still happening?
Did you stop using Bidding for Good?

I have done several auctions and have used bidding for good several times. My biggest complaint is that their help desk is nonexistent and that their "community" has not been vetted. I initially thought having access to fund raising outside our community was a great idea until we had to start dealing with unreasonable winners. The last three years our school has had to get duplicate donations because donors/winners have claimed that they did not to receive their items. We even sent them signature required through UPS. It happened again this year with even more "winners" have made this claim and there is nothing Bidding for Good can do about it. Anyone can bid and win items on your auction. I am beginning to think Bidding for Good has been targeted by scammers.

We used biddingforgood for our school auction. it went very well and their bidder community drive a bunch of bids. they also provided us some items that we kept most of the $$.

we know somebody who uses their donation system to manage requests and he says that using their service is not a factor.

Our elementary school just hosted our first online auction and we used Auction Frog. They were great to deal with, very helpful and we had a very positive experience.

I wondered whether you received any answers during your meeting. I'd be interested in knowing whether some companies only contribute to those groups who are BfG customers.

Hi Laura-Thanks for the feedback about BFG. It seems like a lot of businesses are starting to use BFG for their donation requests. I'd love to know how they decide who gets what. I'm actually talking to one of their staff tomorrow about credit card processing and I'll see if she can give me any information about them!
