Our annual reverse raffle dinner usually has a couple of revenue-generating games that can be adapted:

Jewelry Box Game - we sell 100 boxes @ $5 each
Heads or Tails - revenue depends on cost, crowd size, how much participation

I posted in instructions here . (link updated 12/7/2010)

Let me know if you have any questions.

You could do a treasure chest, sell keys, codes to the lock have people take turns trying to open the chest, the one who opens it keeps the treasure inside

Games of Chance for Our School Auction was created by Monica Gahan
Hi, We are having our first Dinner & Auction and would like to offer some bigger items for games of chance. Does anyone have any ideas of one we could play? We currently have one where we will sell a deck of cards, rip it in half and pick out the winner. The other we will remove a puzzle piece from a completed puzzle and then bag up an identical puzzle and the person with the missing piece is the winner. This gives us two games with 1 in 52 odds and 1 in 25 odds, we are looking for one more for our last item any help would be great. Thanks.
