I started sending my requests out 4 months in advance. I have over $30,000 worth of donations in my house and our event is 2 weeks away. The Gymboree contact is a corporate contact and they will send you a gift certificate. I never heard from Build a Bear. Good Luck!
I must say I fond this site today and I am glued to it. This is a welath of information. I feel like my head is spinning with all the requests you all were able to receive. I am in Pgh, PA so if anyone has suggestions, please let me know.
I had a few questions:
1) How far in advance do you request for donations?
2) I see stores like Gymboree and Build a bear. Are they local stores or do you go through the corporate offices?
How wonderful were they to deal with. Had mailed the application about a month ago saw the email that was posted here. Emailed her today heard right back and she said she never received it a few emails later and they are in the mail to me today
