Most of my clients have their events outdoors with a standby indoor location. As far as the license goes, they get that directly and have told me that it can be used either way. Usually the license is dictated by the numbers of attendees rather than indoors or outdoors. There is an exception with Disney titles. I could direct you to a licensing company but I am not sure if I am aloud here.
In any event, just make sure your audio visual provider has professional equipment and experience so the evening goes well. These events are great fun.
I realize I am very late to this post However we host an outdoor movie night every year. We started small and have been building every since. We are a small district but get about 500 people out to our event each year. I would be more then happy to share our experience to help you.
Hi All, New to PTO today, first time posting. Hope I do this right. I am in the beginning stages of planning a movie night for an elem school. Would like to outdoors, and move indoor if weather does not cooperate. Any thoughts? Suggestions? I read the lisceneing is different. Anyone have experience with this?
Thanks.
