The PTO can certainly choose to pay an individual for their time or skill. It's not at all uncommon for a PTO to bring in, for example, a local author to do a presentation. Sometimes you get lucky and they'll volunteer their time, but if not, again, it's fine to pay them if the group agrees. -Liz from PTO Today
Can PTO have a community member who has a talent or passion share their skill in a club after-school and be compensated for conducting that via the PTO sponsored program? Do they have to be a registered business? What if they are not? Can they still be paid buy the PTO to facilitate the club?
