I don't see a problem with it being in the newsletter.

Your promoting community at your school. Auctions and other events have alcohol at them your promote those, right? I say no problem.

Promoting Moms' Night Out was created by Angie
Our PTO leadership is making an extra effort to make all the parents at the school feel welcome to our meetings, events, etc. We will be hosting our second Moms' Night Out in November. The thing is I'm a little uncomfortable with it. It's not a fundraiser; it's off campus and dinner and alcohol will be involved. Our president insists we promote it in our weekly school newsletter.

I feel that it is inappropriate since it is technically not a school event and is not part of our mission - that the idea is a great one, but that our newsletter is not the best vehicle for it.

Am I being an old fuddy-duddy?
