Thank you, Tim, for the message. It's a testament to the open, friendly atmosphere here that we all feel so comfortable. But it wasn't that long ago that I was working myself up to that first official post.

I guess I can compare this to my meetings. The social times before and after each meeting are tons of fun but from the Call to Order until the Meeting Adjourned, while friendly, it's all business.

It's good to know you're out there keeping an eye on things and nudging us, gently, in the right direction.

Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for awhile and leave footprints on our hearts. And we are never, ever the same."

...especially to our regulars and frequent posters:

Please take extra care to keep any personal stuff in the page 2 thread, and keep that stuff (even quicky allusions to that stuff) completely out of other threads.

There's a double danger, and -- ironically -- it's very similar to the "clique image" that many non-virtual PTOs face. We don't want new visitors to feel that the message boards are at all like an insiders club. New folks are the people who can be most helped here.

It's subtle, but it's real. I've heard that worry personally from many folks who said they had to screw up their courage just to post a first time.

I'm 100% positive that there's no intention to be exclusionary, and I can't tell you how much I appreciate all the helping you regulars do for so many of our visitors. Appreciate all your help....

Tim
