Bush is probably flattered to see how many liberals expect him to rescue people and get supplies in before even the local authorities have any idea where people are and what they need. I'm glad help is getting in and am thankful for the hundreds of people who have dropped everything to do all they can to help. These are the people who make our country so great.

Shawn isn't it funny how the liberal media (and others) tries to spin GWB's "vacation" into something resting and wonderful even though they are hounding him everyday and he has a ton of news conferences? Really how can a pres have a vacation. Unless you count rendevous in the Oval office but we won't go there. [img]tongue.gif[/img]

I am so glad to see a fellow republican on here, even though I do try to stay away from politics on here. Hubby and I have been discussing the next nominee. Any ideas?

I wonder who their gov was when all those plans were put in place? Ok, I am sure it was done in the early 1900s after the Galvaston tragedy but I would like to think my favorite pres had something to do with up keeping those plans.

Sorry to hear that people are causing you grief over your feelings, I'm not one of them. To each his/her own, but that should be a cause to not to act civil to one another. You can sure learn a lot by talking to someone who has a different point of view as long as you can open your mind to more information.

GB will be alright, just remember the people running LA havent been much brighter either and they weren't on vacation.

I have too much faith in him and our citizens to worry if you dont neccessarily like him ( you can and I respect your opinion), this IS America (we're allowed to disagree and have our own opinions, isnt life grand !!!)

Just wish more used it and stuck to their convictions, until proven otherwise or compromised.
