I just thought I'd educate someone (without, having to use a switch ;) ) so she knows about the rest of us and all you great moms, too

You know we love you Shawn (and all the other dads too!). Keep up your crusade and break the "dads don't volunteer" stereotype. We need more dads (and moms) involved.

I wasn't even going to read that article. I am glad I did. There is my next homework assignment. LOL!

Shawn and other dads/male figures, I guess that when I read something, I don't think about gender specific. What I mean is that when I read something that says he/she, mom/dad if find them interchangeable depending on what the subject is about and how it pertains to me in general.

I just found the subject funny regardless of what gender is involved.

We all know how involved you are and I have received so many great ideas about getting more men involved at our school from you and others that I proposed at a meeting today about having a "Dads can do it day." It was a hit. Haven't got the details worked out yet, but it made an impression with the principal and the rest of the board.

Keep up the good and let us know if you receive a reply from her.

LOVED the article!! Alot of it hit home with me. Too funny! Shawn, don't take it personally. You know you are one of few who are that involved. I'm glad that you are able and willing to give so much for your children.

Good article but I Absolutely Disagree

Men do not run themselves ragged doing this kind of stuff. They make lofty pronouncements about their time being far too valuable. But there doesn't seem to be any limit to what women will do to raise a few bucks for anything they think benefits their kids or communities, even if some measure of humiliation is involved

 and have already fired off her an email, with links about Dads whom do the exact opposite of her quote. We maybe be few, but I will not be disparaged or slandered (sp?)

It was a funny story that I have bookmarked for further use, though.
