I am sure this is various but I am curious. I took summer classes so I would have enough hours to sub teach in my district next year. Just my luck, budget cuts and they are not going to have sub teachers only sub aides. Sub aides do not require any education except for a high school diploma. I've been on that list for almost 5 years and do not get called anymore. Although we do not have private schools in our county a neighboring county does and I was wondering if it was worth a shot to check them out. I am willing to sub aide and sub teach. I'd love any info you have on your hiring process.
