Snow Day

We'll be getting some rain this weekend, but then hitting the 80 degree mark in AZ next week. I'll be packing up the winter clothes over spring break and probably turning off the heat too.

We've had a LOT more rain than usual this year... our little desert rats go NUTS on rainy days when they can't go to the playground. I just laugh, and remember growing up in MO, IL, PA, KS, Germany (army brat). They don't know how good they've got it!

hi Closetwriter, No, I never received it. I put the word out that it was MIA, but I haven't seen it yet. Thank you anyhow, I appreciate your trying and also the Tyson labels. I'll be the willing recipient of anymore you happen to get. Oh and I must share this with you, I just finished up Cash for Trash this month and I found a personal check, dated December 25, 2004, made out to one of our school's para-pros and in the amount of $250.00. When I took it to her, she said "Dang I was wondering what happened to this." LOL, must be nice to afford to lose $250.

I remember the Spring of 1987 we were out of school for two weeks due to a terrible ice storm. Many kids couldn't get into town (rural community) and many were with out electricity for at least one week! I was suppose to graduate in May and the School BOard held a special meeting to decide what to do about the Seniors! Fortunatly we got out on time because we all had more than our requirements nessasary but the rest of the K-11 went until June which was very unusal for our school!

Of course our parents were happy to have the Seniors home and out on time so we could help with clean up! Our farm lost 10 trees alone!

ahh farm life, so happy to be urbanized!

Tiner- I think I'd rather have snow days than hurricane days. ;)

Weather.com says more snow next week?!! We shall see, maybe I'll get to go sledding after all. I wonder if we will have to wear snow suits for Easter? I've nearly got the house in halfway order now I'd like to have a yard.

I wore shorts today. It was still a little chilly but not bad. It's been sunny skies for at least a couple of days. I even turned off the heat yesterday. I'm sure we're getting more (this is the Reno after all!) but we have sun for now. My sweaters and coats aren't put away yet.
The kids are grumbling now that they truly realize that all of those days they got off for snow have to be made up. The district only requires that they make up 3 of the 5 and it's better but try telling that to a 9 year old...
