Hi Stacee,
A few years back I organized an annual "Match Game" (a la Gene Rayburn) at the middle school. We had a teacher who dressed up, side burns and all, who would emcee the night.
Here's how it worked: Students were called up in teams of 4. A group of teachers/staff/parents (5-9) served as our panel on stage. (A few dressed up like the old cast members of the 70's game-pretty funny!) In advance, we prepared a PowerPoint with questions on each slide. The emcee posed the question, and students were asked to fill in the blank to questions along the lines of: "Mrs Bennet wanted her science class to be silent so she tried to hypnotize the class with a _____." Teachers would write down their replies and then reveal their answers (on small dry erase board). Student teams would get a point for every matching answer from the panel. The team with the most points at the end of each match would advance to play other teams called from the audience. The great thing about this is that many students get to play during the night. We did it in two hours. Prizes included pizza coupons and AAA baseball game tickets that were donated to us.
You need willing teachers and parents to be on the panel, a scorekeeper, someone to advance the Powerpoint, a timekeeper to speed things along, and a fun personable emcee. Side burns help too. ;p Our Powerpoint had a question featuring every teacher who volunteered that night-lots of laughs.
Good luck. If you need more info, feel free to email me. This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

After reading all the post on the forum there are a lot of great ideas. Yet, I'm not finding all the info on questions asked, how you put together the game show, etc. All the info available is 4-6 years old & incomplete.
Can someone please help me out? I'm looking for surveys questions of faculty feud or what you did for schoolywed? Even the match game sounds interesting to do. The article on here is great, but doesn't cover the details.
I need to get rolling cause the game date March. Feeling a little overwhelmed w/ the lack of support from everyone. Would like to do a night that would get a good turn out.
