We have an annual talent show each year but surprisingly a teacher is the head of it. She sends out a newsletter, has tryouts for each grade level (making sure everything is legit and appropriate) and then she makes a call list of who is going to be in the show.
From there it is a bit of a mystery to me. The whole talent night lasts about an hour and half. She has all kids that participate in the event sit on the sides of the gym in chairs and they remain there until talent night is over. That way kids aren't roaming around trying to find their parents.
I can tell you that this is one of the events that the KIDS look forward to every year. Everyone who attends has great time!
