What family fun activities do you have planned for this school year?

One of our most profitable fundraisers is "Photos with Santa". Our school mascot is a Mustang. We have a student wear the costume then dress him/her in a Santa outfit. A parent volunteer who works for a billboard company created the backdrop of a snow covered farm. We purchase polaroid film, place the mascot in front of the backdrop, allow kids to take photos with Santa (group shots are welcomed) during their PE hour. We charge $3 per photo. The kids, even the middle schoolers, go crazy for it. Most often kids will forget their money on the first day of photos; therefore, we allow this fundraiser to run for two days.

I have searched the board for additional information regarding Dream Catchers Day and haven't been able to locate the posting you spoke of. Can you give me details.

We have a small school (around 150 people) The fun fun events we plan are:

October Festival (carnival) this is a new event this year
Math Day
Spaghetti and Santa
Raffle baskets (this is our big fundraiser)
Parent Mall - we sell "booths" for parents to sell their products during the Spaghetti and Santa lunch

Hi Lilly--Dreamcatchers Day is something we do for our special needs children. If you search on it there is another post that I've written all the details...in synopsis it is a great day for our children and their families that don't always get to participate in our normal PTO events due to wheelchairs, special food requirements etc....and adopt a classroom is a national program where businesses and families can put money directly into the teachers accounts for them to order supplies for their classrooms. You can learn about the program at adoptaclassroom.com. This past year our school raised over 17k that went to our teachers and that didn't count any PTO events or contributioins.
