I like the idea of stopping to shoot hoops wiht Coach Bolton....
Science Experiments with Gabriella-- use microscopes and have the kids tell something they see....
Have a dance step competition in one stop-- use colored foot steps and call out colors that the participants have to follow... have a winner at each session.
Have a stop where you match what a character said from the movie with the character-- maybe have a sheet of paper 1-10 with words on a wall board marked 1-10 that the kids match to match up.
I don't have details for these, since I just went brainstorming.

Help Gabriella in her Academic Decathlon science experiment
Ryan reads from his favorite book.
Mrs. Darbus reads an inspiring verse or prose.
Sharpay calculates how she'll edge out Gabriella and Troy in the competition. Throw in some math.
Sing it with Troy. Have a Wii "Sing it"
Dance with the Crew from High School Musical. (have some kids adopt the role of leaders) Surely there are a few that have all the words to every song memorized and have all the steps memorized.
Study the social interactions of the characters (led by a social studies teacher) She asks movie specific questions that she can tie to other things they study.
I NEED HELP...
Does your mind ever draw a blank? Right now that's what mine is doing. I have to plan a K-5 family night for our elementary school. It needs to be literacy and/or math based and of course have a healthy dash of fun. We've chosen the theme "We're All In This Together" from High School Musical. So many kids are crazy about it. I've watched the first movie and it does seem to have a really good message for kids. Now we don't want to produce a musical, we just want to use the fun ideas from the movie. I can think of all the decorations, refreshments, photo op, etc. but I can't come up with ideas for the most important parts - stations that families rotate through during the evening. It's like having the bread of the sandwich, but not the meat! I'm trying to incorporate some of the song titles in to the stations. For example, what could you do with "Get'cha Head in the Game"? or "Stick to the Status Quo"? We need some educational things to do along with the fun. My time is running out....help!
