That is an awesome idea. We just kicked off our 15 week reading program and that would be an awesome way to celebrate reaching mid way. And our school definitely needs new AR quizzes! Thanks for the idea

This year we hosted an elementray (K-4th) read a thon. The middle school hosted one every year by the MD student council. This year the PTSO or PTO hosted a K-4th read -a-thon for one half day only, the proceeds of this event went 100% to purchase AR quizes for the media center. Students sent out pledges with their family, neighbors and friends. The class collected the most $$$, got an ice cream Sundae party with movie and got to choose 30 AR quizzes to be purchased. The pledges where simple - minute rates or flat rates. The smaller grades chose flat rates and the higher grades where more competive. One of our 3rd grade class won! WE COLLECTED OVER 2,000.00 dollars.
