1st grade community project

17 years 1 month ago #137748 by OneandOnly
Food for the animal shelter
mittens for kids in need
toiletry items for a nursing home and if they can go and sing holiday carols in December, the residents would LOVE it!
Call your local hospital or Ronald McDonald house and see what kids are allowed to have. Stuffed animals or games would be nice for the current patients
Call your local police department. When children must be removed from the home during a domestic situation, they are taken to the county shelter or temporary home. Schools have donated bags filled with stuff to make a scary situation easier for that child: stuffed animal, crayons & coloring book, book to read, blank paper to draw or communicate, puzzle....

Doing it for my one and only ~~ my son!

I agree - making cards, visiting (singing songs), collecting useful items for a nursing home would be perfect.

Collecting items for a good cause is pretty easy, such as canned food items or supplies for a pet shelter. Kids love to do stuff for animals.
