The reading pals were great THANKS - THANKS - THANKS. I am a PTO room mom and we did it for our first graders and all of the other classes were jealous. I wish there was a link to attach pictures. We ordered the customized t-shirts and had "Reading ROCKS in 1st grade" put on them. The parents say the students rush home so that they can read to their reading pals.

Thanks for this idea. We just finished our event with Read with Ease and it was a blast. We had our Reading Challenge night and all of the children made their reading pals. We were glad they sent extras because we had teachers and parents making them too. We had customized shirts that said Berkley Elem is WILD about Reading. Yes we are the tigers. I think I may have gottem that slogan from this site too. The students put their reading pals name on the back of the shirts. We had areas set up where parents made reading games to play with their children. The ideas were in the back of the book that comes with the kit. We had parents thanking us, because they wanted to make reading fun but they did not know where to begin, and they saw the excitement in the children's eyes. The children were excited when we told them that they had to read at least 2 books a month to their reading pals. One child even asked "Can I read more?" We had a reading BLAST!!!

Thanks PTO Today! I have never heard of your site. My children have always attended PTA schools, but a friend of mine is at a PTO school and she told me about this site. I have been trying to come up with new Reading ideas since this is my first year as pres and ran across the reading pals index site. I just received my kit and I am soooooooooooo excited. We have our registration tomorrow and we have the reading pals displayed (we are the ducks) and we have 10 ducks dressed in outfits around the school advertising our Back-to-School reading night. The parents are so excited and they are pre-ordering the ducks. (It's really our Open House).
I received lots of kudos from the staff today. With the help of your site this year should be a piece of cake.
