Our school has a kindergarten orientation the week before school starts. The kids do a craft there. Why don't they decorate the picture frame made from the foam cutouts you can get at a craft store. Then on the 1st day of school, each child is photographed and the picture inserted. They can feel proud of their frame AND starting school!
I heard about a great way to welcome the kindergarteners and their families to the school and PTA was to take a picture of each kid and then put it into a picture frame with a welcome from the PTA.
Has anyone done this? Our teachers are willing to work with us to get the pictures taken. I want to see if this has been done and was it a success before I go through all the work.
I am looking for ideas of how to find or make the picture frames?
