I was wondering if any of you have done a "book nook" at your school carnival / event. I was thinking of having each family donate as many books (in good, age appropriate k-6) as they can. Everyone has books their kids have out grown. Then on carnival night one of the room activites would be the book nook - you can choose any book you want for one ticket. I was even thinking of making it contest to see what classroom send in the most books.
Has anyone ever done this? If so, could you share your thoughts. Maybe you even have your letter you sent home with parents.
