I'm so excited to see this post. Our school is turning 100 next year. So we are in the process of planning a year long celebration with the "big" day being the 100th day of school of the 100th year. (We don't know the actually day it opened) If anyone has any more ideas to share I would be so thankful. So far we are planning to incorporate life one hundred years ago into the entire school year. The teachers will be assiging projects related to 100 years ago and we will be hosting a celebration with the oldest student. We will also be having lots of balloons and cake! We hope our celebration will be a celebration for the entire community. FYI our school is K-6 with 210 students. Thanks so much!

I have ordered from Oriental Trading in the past and thought of having tricycle races. I definately am having some cake---how could I not?? We typically have bounce houses, bounce slides, cotton candy, sno cones, different foods, silent auction, and basket drawings.....this annual event is pretty big! If you have any more suggestions for the sweet 16 without making it too girly or racing ideas, please let know! Thanks for posting!!!

Dollar stores have great balloons. Having balloons everywhere would definitely make it more festive. Oriental Trading has great, inexpensive items you can purchase, too.

Instead of pin the tail on the donkey, you can have the kids play pin the tail on the school mascot.

Setting up an obstacle course and have the kids "drive" on tricycles would be a lot of fun. Oriental Trading has great cones and little stop signs, etc.

You definitely have to have lots of cake. See if a local bakery can donate sheet cakes or cupcakes for your party. Ice cream cakes would be great as well. Good luck!

Hello! I am new to this forum, and am wondering if any of you have great ideas for our school's annual "Birthday Party". This year is our 16th year and would like to theme a "Sweet 16"---possibly doing some driver's license things, driving, etc. but don't want to make it too old. The school is Kindergarten through 5th grade. Any ideas for games, decorations, etc.? Any other new, fun theme ideas or websites that would be helpful?
