HI,
Could you not hold it after the normal breakfast program at your school maybe at 9:00. You could also maybe try and order the pastries from the food service company. Maybe this would be acceptable to them. I have never heard of a school not allowing it for that reason or could you get permission from the food service company to hold the event? Just a thought good luck to you.

I was just informed that I would not be able to put on a Pastries with Parents (muffins with mom, donuts with dad) for my school. It has to do with interfering with the morning breakfast program at our school. We have many, many reduced lunch/breakfast students at our school, and the fear is, doing an event like this goes against the contract we have with the food people.
I know this event is done in other schools, is there any loopholes that I can use to have a function like this at my school? I understand the contract and all, but the spirit of the event is to be with family, not to feed the school.
