dlf - that sounds great. I hope your school appreciates you. I read alot of the things that you write on this message board, and it sounds like you do alot of great things for your school. I applaud you. Volunteers like you are hard to come by. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I hope you get some rest.

That sounds so fun! I love it! And I bet the little ones get really excited about it! I'm writing it down as a suggestion to the group next year!

You know--we do this stupid little thing at the holidays that is just so fun I want to share it. After school one day, we do a jingle bell jog. Just one lap around the school but all the kids get jingle bell bracelets and their parents come with "bells on" and circle the route. We play music and then serve cookies and milk. The first year we had about 80 kids and this year we're up to 120. It costs tiny bits (just he cost of the bell bracelets from Oriental trading and some milk) and the kids just LOVE IT...as do the parents. We bring the kids together with a big sign, find a leader to run the little guys and then just let them run in groups around the school with bells on. The sound itself is wonderful, the kids are SOOOO excited from the first thing in the morning...and it is just a silly, jingly, holiday thing to do...and we love it. So I thought I'd share. Too late for this year...but man--did it make my day today!!!
