Hi!

Our carnival theme last year was "It's a Jungle in Here!"... and, I've got to say, it's amazing what you can do with butcher paper!
Here are some ideas:

* We covered the ceilings with jungle leaves (cut paper doll style form green butcher paper). Vines (strips of brown, twited-and-crumpled paper) were used as accents.
* Use a overhead projector to blow up an image of jungle animals on the wall. Trace on to butcher paper and cut out. You'll soon have an entire zoo!
* Huge snakes were the easiest project... Cut out a snake from the butcher paper (our longest was 35 feet!). Let kids paint stripes. Add an eye and a tounge.

Hope this helps get you going...
