We are having a family reading night where local celebrities will come and read books, and every child will go home with a new book. We are just serving popcorn and juice, but are having a pajama party theme. We are also having people from the state arts council who are historical interpreters come in their costumes to tell stories.
We have Popcorn & a Movie night, Family bowling night, Family Math night (where the math teachers help us come up with fun problem solving puzzles and games), and Family Sports night where the kids play some games against the parents (basketball) and play some games as teams with their parents (hockey, crab soccer). We have refreshments/snacks at all of them provided by our hospitality committee and ribbons are given to the winners. We have lots of fun! Good luck!
Last year we had 2 movie nights. This year we are calling them Family Nights and we will have 3 of them. We were thinking like dinner & a movie, maybe game night and dinner? Any other ideas, suggestions....
