Our local skating rinks, bowling alleys, and goofey golf offer family events that we cna schedule with them and receive a portion of.
The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris
Our Middle School has after school activities and some are just for students and some are for families. A popular winter one is Skiing at a local mountain, yesterday the kids did a pumpkin decoration. My son did one in web design - two sessions, they've also done bowling, archery at local range and yes, roller skating. Middle School is tricky. Most kids don't want to hang out with any family members unless it's in a large enough setting.
We are a K-8 grade school. We have come up with some ideas for family events, but alot of them are more suited to the elementary grade levels. We are having an ice skating night in January, but wondered if anyone had any ideas for family events that would get the kids and parents of grades 6-8 to participate. Thank you
