We did one and what a great time!
We sent out pledge forms and had each child bring them in. We are a K-5 school so we coordinated it with the gym teachers during gym time during the day. Parents weren't bothered by this or had to take time from them. We did K-2 at one time. We worked around our school with banners and flags and sang, skipped and had a blast. Then we switched to 3-5 and they had to walk around the school. They each took about an hour. After the walk, we served them lemonade and the teachers came out to get them and take them back to class or lunch. We made about 6500.00 and it was no effort at all. I sent out a survey about what families wanted this year for fundraising and that was #1! This year we will push this as our one and only fundraiser. Most parents don't bother getting pledges, they just have all family members give 10-20 bucks and the parent use this as the one time flat donation of 100.00. Our goal is 20k!!
