Red Ribbon Week

We don't do much for this. Occasionally we will have a speaker from a local ageny talk about saying no to drugs. Last year we had a board in the front hall cavered with red paper and a pledge to stay drug free and all the children in the school signed it. This year we got personalized ribbons on clearence from Oriental Trading Company.

The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris

HI,

We are a new school that is K-8 with an estimated number of students at 1,000. I have been put in charge of our very first Red Ribbon Week in October and I dont know where to begin. Has anyone ever organized this event? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Shellee :D
