We did ours for the entire school and it we held it for 1 hour before school began. Then the kids went to class.
The really nice aspect of it (other then dads getting to have breakfast with their kids) is that it is ideal for working parents. You don't need to take the day off from work to go have breakfast with your child.
A couple of questions for y'all on Donuts with Dad. What time is it held? How long does it last? Is it for the entire school? Do they go to "Donuts with Dad" and then go on to class? Just curious as to the logisitics of this. thanks so much.

We are holding our first dwd in January. Invites will read:
The Kalkaska Elementary PTA is inviting all dads or other significant male to join their child for "Donuts with Dads" on etc, etc.
Good Luck!
Here is what we wrote on ours where that is concerned....
The PTO would like to invite Dads to come and have breakfast with their children on (your date & time here). If Dad is unavailable on this day your child can come with their grandfather, uncle, or other.
I am in charge of our elementary's first Donuts with Dad. I'm not sure how to word the invite so that kids without a traditional father figure feel excluded. I'm very open to suggestions!
