We have one wall of our cafeteria that we have deemed PTO tables. We have our membership table, school spirit items at another, then down the line are all our committees with chairpersons stationed to answer questions and have parents volunteer to sign up. We keep all our tri-fold boards from previous years, and use them. We also do everything as a group...meaning, we all wear our school colors, our ID's and our mascot pens on our lapels. We all try to match so that we look like a unified group, its really important!

Good luck!!

what we do at open house is have a table with the groups scrapbook of the past year, flyers about us, a year schedule, some miscellanous flyers about involvement , etc.I also went to staples(office supply) and bought of those large school cardboard project display boards( you know the 3-fold type) on that in large print our name(pals) and then each section listed events, fundraisers and our mascott. it gets attention because it is so big. since you have other tables there ask your principal to give you the most marketable spot( not some far off dark corner). We then also have a table where we serve free refreshments.have fun with it...

I am currently organizing this very thing for our Back to School night.

At our Parent Club table (booth) we will be selling t-shirts, Scrip and ice cream. We will also be offering a list of board members, a calendar of events, and have sign-up sheets for the events. Just be there to answer any questions the parents might have. Be available...and try to find some new helpers.

I'm new PTO pres. for upcoming school year. School called me and asked if PTO would like to set up a booth at the Open House. So, I say "of course, sounds great". She says they will set a table aside for me. My question is, what do I need to have at this table? Anyone have any ideas on what information, flyers, etc. that should be presented? Our open house is typically several different organizations with their own booth...girl scouts (which I will also be doing!), boy scouts, headstart/pre-school, after school clubhouse, a fund-raising co., etc. We also serve hot dogs and have face painting for the kids. Just sort of clueless as to what I need to have for PTO booth. ANY help will be greatly appreciated!!
