As chairperson for our carnival last year I brought in a JAIL. For a quarter a student could receive a warrant to put another student in jail for any reason ie "one pant leg shorter than the other". To get out of jail someone else has to bail him person out for a quarter. Teachers were set at a higher price. Profit about $150 up. Another favorite is frog race (anything that winds up). You make a divide box (waterproof it) and fill with water, wind up your toy and the first one to the finish line wins. Not to mention they get splashed! Also the spin wheel that made like a roulette wheel. Prize for this is stuff animals or free homework pass etc. We have stuff animals donated from the local thrift stores and kids love them.
We had a haunted house in the work room last year. It was awesome. The line never ended and several kids would just go to the end of the line when they got out. Also the kids really like tattoeing and face painting. The grown ups usually go with for our Cake/Prize walk. It is a very good money maker for us.
I liked the "toliet toss" games suggested on another subject post, Does anyone have any unique games for a carnival at an elem. school. we set up games in the class rooms and have many of the typical games. What has been one of your most popular games?
Ours has been a cardboard maze built joining 2 classrooms with black lights in the rooms.
