Hi MsSevilla,
Has anything improved since your last post? If it helps at all, we've had a few very similar posts recently. It isn't uncommon for groups to find themselves in this predicament. Do you currently have a full board? If there is literally no one else willing to take on these jobs, will any of the current board members stay on? There is probably a provision in the bylaws for this (even if they are going beyond their term limits). Or, would even just a few stay on? You don't have to have every board position filled to move forward. As long as you have the basic jobs covered -- in particular, a treasurer handling the finances and someone handling the president's functions of setting the agenda, running meetings, connecting with the principal and making sure committee chairs have what they need -- you are still a functioning PTO.
In the meantime, one thing for your group to consider: Start looking around now for folks who might be interested in stepping up next year. It seems the groups that are most successful view executive board member recruitment as a continuous process. It's worth a shot.
