15 years 1 month ago #150983 by Angie
We have been using mysignup.com I like it. As the Secretary I run it and set it up for what event we need. and they do send you an email when you get a new person signing up for it. plus they send you daily updates. overall it is a good website for free.

Google docs has a new form feature. If you set up a spreadsheet on google docs, you can make a form- real easy to use. free of charge.

Actually, our PTA just opened a Business Paypal account within the last month. If you specify that your business is a 501c3 non-profit there is no monthly fees (you do have to provide proof of 501c3 status). You only pay the transaction fees which are reduced for non-profits. I have copied and pasted some info from one of my emails. The Paypal Rep. that worked w/ us was very helpful in getting our account set-up in our time crunch. His name is Brian Kissel and you can email him at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. The nice thing they will do for non-profits is set up an auto deposit directly to your bank account at the end of each day. I felt better about setting it up w/ that in place in addition to only the signees to our checking account have password access.
It has worked well for us so far and been user friendly for our parents to use. They loved being able to pre-order and pre-pay and miss all the long lines at registration. If you'd like to view it's use on our school webpages go to Midland Independent School District then choose Goddard Jr. High..click the PTA online ordering page.

Please review the link below for special information for Non-Profit's.

Another site to consider is MemberHub.com . This is designed to help you organize groups within your organization. Some of the features include a calendar and announcements which can go out via email and text message. It is a good overall organization tool for a volunteer organization.

One great benefit is that you can organize your different events into separate hubs and add volunteers to each specific hub. You can then communicate and organize that event with just those volunteers.

There are fees for using papypal, similar to having a credit card processing account.
