Just a quick opinion poll. Our 7-8 graders always get a large trip every two years. We've never asked them to pay for it in the past, but this year we're asking they earn it. We're all new officials and don't think its fair to just hand the school a blank check to run us into the red with, (as they have in the past). So, heres my question:
Some of the girls (its all girls going) have done some fundraising over the past months. Should they get a small amount of that compted onto an account already for them, or should they all start at flat rate zero and use the fundraising we give them, or opportunities we present them with to earn the 200. They will have ample opportunities to earn the funds without asking parents to just cash out, we really want to teach them that having something so great needs responsibility and accountability. Maybe the previous funds should count for the activites we've already paid for with them? PLEASE anyone...your opinion. I need to send a note to the teachers ASAP about this whole situation.
