Also, give your translator the PTO agenda a week early so he/she will translate it into Spanish & make copies for your Latino parents. We had 5 Latino families attend the next meeting!! This SO works! I am in charge of our programs and I saw that we had a need for a translator so I found one! It has been great! She has been very well received! We are having more of our Spanish speaking families getting involved! It has been a huge blessing!

The group at my school is in serious need of boosting the parent involvement. We have a lot of Spanish speaking parents at our school but we do not have any involved in our PTO. I was looking into trying to get more people involved and one way I want to try is to do a survey. One that will tell me what people want from the school and will also tell me how they can help. I understand that it is VERY important to let everyone know they are important but I do not know how to do this. Does anyone have suggestions?

Thank you in advance!
