Why is it that parents who are afraid to come to PTO meetings or afraid to volunteer think the PTO is a clique?? We say hi to people we don't know, invite parents to come to meetings & events, dress like everyone else, walk & talk like everyone else but still get that label... Even the lunch staff has said "there are the PTO moms - they are so stuck up!"... How can we start to end this thinking??
