Edline

We use Edline in our district at all levels. It's very informative. However, ther'es something to consider if you want to use the school's Edline homepage to share PTO information. [NOTE - this is our experience in our district. You might have a different experience depending on how your district is set up.] I only access Edline when I get an email telling me a new report has been added for one of my kids. I then click on the link in the email to go to Edline. ***When I do this, I BYPASS THE SCHOOL'S EDLINE HOMEPAGE, and go directly to a blank sign in screen**** Thus, I never see the messages or photos or other info that our office has put on the school's edline home page. The only way I see the school's edline page is if I go thru www.edline.net - which I never do.

I do not know about using it for PTO purposes, but I love it for the progress reports teachers put on there. I like being able to go online and find out what my child's current grades are and if she is missing any assignments. I also get emails when new reports are posted by teachers. My child has a different login, so she can view her reports as well.

Is anyone familiar with the Edline online program used by schools? Our school is beginning to use it this year, and I am interested in what others have experienced with it. Especially in reference to using it at your sole PTO website....

Thanks in Advance!
